Ministries & Small Groups

Bethel is blessed to have some growing and thriving ministries and small groups that are listed below. We encourage you to get involved where the Lord leads you.  We are also a church family that is open to the Spirit’s leading of new ideas and ministries if you’d like to start one.  Please talk to Pastor Josh for questions, ideas, or concerns. Sunday School-classes for all ages, 9:30M-10:15AM, Sept-May. More info is on our "What We Are Studying" page.

Women’s Fellowship-for ladies of all ages.  We meet the first Thursday of each month in various homes.

Young Couples-typically meets twice a month for fellowship and study.

Kingdom Kids (1-4 grade)--Meets on Monday from 5:30-7:00pm at Bethel dinner, games, crafts, and a Bible lesson.

5^th and 6^th grade youth group--meets at Bethel on Mondays from 5:30-7:00pm for dinner, games, and Bible lessons.

7^th-12^th grade youth group-meets weekly at Bethel for food, games, fellowship, and devotions. We also do various service projects and missions trips. For more, see our 'Youth Group' page.

Young Adults (18-30)-meets Tuesdays @ Inspiration Café. For more on this ministry, visit www.ignitepa.org

Bethel Bible Series-a comprehensive two-year study on the entire Bible.

Vacation Bible School-weeklong outreach ministry each summer for children in the community.

Committees (with Chairperson)

Missions-(Judy Grice & Jim Wright) plans and coordinates local, national and international missions giving/projects.

Property- (Dave Ramsey) works to sustain the Bethel Church property inside and out.

Connections/Small Groups- (vacant) works to help connect newcomers to ministries within Bethel and oversees small group ministries.

Interpretation & Stewardship- (Ian Angelo) works to plan and implement annual budget as well as educate congregation.

Fellowship- co-ordinates dinners, parties, luncheons, bowling/game nights, picnics, dances, etc.

Care-(Deacons) work to keep folks connected through cards, visits, calls, etc.

Worship- (Debbie Clark) team meets monthly to plan and implement ideas into our Sunday worship (e.g. music, drama, bell choir, readings, etc).

Christian Ed-  (Karen Frye) oversees and equips all teaching ministries (Sunday School, Kingdom Kids, etc.)

Praise and Play Pre-School (3-4 year olds)

(Kim Champ) A ministry held at Bethel Church during the school year.  It meets Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9-12AM.  Students learn letters and numbers as well as praise songs and Bible stories. See our "Preschool" page for more.
